Meet The Team

Commissioning Editor – Sarah Luddington –
Sarah is a published novelist with her latest novel, The Knights Of Camelot, frequently featuring in the top ten of Amazon’s listings for Arthurian Romance. Sarah has been writing since the age of sixteen and loves discovering new authors. She has a degree in medieval history and black belts in three martial arts.

Chief Copy Editor/Proofreader – Vicki Pankhurst
Vicki leads our Proofreading Team and has been editing books for many years with an amazing eye for detail. When a manuscript lands on her desk no spilling mistook is safe from her red pen and no errant comma will escape. The tasks of proofreader and copyeditor are very different, so Vicki is a wonderful catch for the company as she can do both. She is freelance from Mirador, so if you need her help we will put you in touch, her rates through us are very competitive.

Promotions and Marketing – David Luddington
David has spent thirty years in sales and marketing. He has produced sales initiatives for some of the largest companies in this country. He is also a published novelist and likes to write humour. He is a member of MENSA and in his spare time he teaches Karate.

Market Analysis – Abi Rudd
Abi has an intimate knowledge of the world of books, having managed shops for one of the UK’s largest book chains. She brings vital knowledge regarding the latest market trends and which genre is likely to be hot next year. Will it be ‘The Pavarotti Code’ or ‘The Tony Blair Recipe Book’? We’ll have to ask Abi!

Design – Chrissie Cottle
Chrissie has spent most of her life in design and knows how to catch the eye. Her expertise in colour and image helps us to produce covers which really grab the reader’s attention.

Audio Books – Richard Froggatt
Richard is heading up our latest project, audio books. We believe this market has huge potential and as publishers for the new wave this is an area are looking to exploit for our authors. Richard brings forty years of acting experience and is keen to produce books that are a pleasure to the ear.

Our Eco Credentials
Whilst our registered office and mail receiving centre is in Taunton, most of the real work is done in  the heart of Somerset. This is an important centre for ecology in England with some of the country’s rarest birds residing here. As such we take our environmental impact very seriously.  Our offices are heated by local renewable fuels and we discourage team travel. In these days of high speed broadband there is little need to bring everybody into our offices when they can work from their own home office in a far more relaxed and eco friendly way. This philosophy also enables us to use a wider range of talent as we are not dependant upon commuting distances.  We have contracted printers in the UK, the US, Germany and another one in Australia. This allows us to print our books more locally to their eventual point of sale and therefore greatly reduce the carbon impact of shipping them around the world.
